Pawpaw (Carica Papaya)
Another native of tropical America, pawpaw is now so widespread in Nigeria that it can truly claim to be a Nigerian fruit.

Always propagated by seeds, or by bud grafting and division, the pawpaw fruit is rich in sucrose and is one of the best sources of Vitamin A. it also contains some vitamin C and is a good source of calcium and this increases as it ripens. It is eaten fresh and very useful on menu lists of different cultures.
Though a popular family fruit, much of pawpaw’s propagation is done through natural factors like wind
and water or through waste disposal.
